Where do I have to go?
Name: Mehrzweckhalle Frommershausen
Address: Pfadwiese 10
City: 34246 Vellmar (Kassel)
Kassel is well connected to the German highway system and is located right in the middle of Germany. North to South you will find the A7 Autobahn passing right along while you can reach it from the West via the A44 or from the East through the A38 or A2/A7.
There is plenty of parking spaces right in front of the location.
We would recommend booking your ticket to the train station “Kassel Wilhelmshöhe” since it is well connected to the high-speed railway network with connections going in every direction and also Frankfurt airport without having to change trains.
Check your connection early for good discounts on the rates since Deutsche Bahn can be quite expensive if you book spontaneously.
see https://www.bahn.com/en for details
As mentioned above Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) is probably the best and most versatile choice. Be careful though, there is two Frankfurt Airports and one of them is not really close to Frankfurt (that is Hahn) so you will probably want to avoid this one depending on where you come from. Of course you can check out other routes as well if they are more suitable for your journey but there is nowhere you can’t reach from Frankfurt.
From there you can board the direct train to Kassel at “Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof” or if you are a group there is a ton of car rentals available too.
Our location is situated outside of the city center but has direct access to the public transport system. From Bahnhof Wilhelmshöhe or any other station along the way you can take Tram Line 1 going to “Vellmar Nord” and exit at “Vellmar Nordstr.” (!). Sounds similar so be aware that it is two different stations. From there it is only a 5 minute walk (600m) to the location.
See https://www.kvg.de/ for details when you look for your connection.
